  • Absolutely! I provide a free 20 minute consultation for all prospective clients via telephone or video call. This gives us the opportunity to meet, talk about what you need and how I can help. More importantly, it gives you the opportunity to get a sense of me, feel comfortable and ask any questions you may have.

  • Each session is an hour long.

  • I do my best to keep your cost low. Some people have my services for a short time. However, on average, most of my clients are with me for a year or longer. I understand that over time it can be a significant expense. My average rate is $250 an hour, however I am glad to talk with you and come up with a rate that works well for you considering the course of time and your needs and ability to pay.

  • I choose not to take insurance. Many insurance plans only give partial coverage or the number of sessions is limited. There is also often a copayment or deductible to be reached. I keep my rates set as low as possible with your out-of-pocket costs in mind so that it is not burdensome.

    In addition, insurance companies do not typically pay without me providing them with a diagnosis and sharing additional information with them such as a treatment plan and/or regular summaries with detailed information about you. Some people have concerns about this and so I find it best to practice without being on insurance panels.

  • Confidentiality is very important to the process of therapy! It is a space where you should be able to share anything on your mind without feeling you’ll be judged and with trust. A client’s confidentiality and privacy is of the utmost importance to me.

    Therapists are licensed with their applicable licensing board and complete the necessary education, exams, training and practice in the area of confidentiality and privacy. That means when you talk with me I am mandated by law on reporting and confidential requirements. There are a very few circumstances where I may have to break confidentiality, however those
